I love.

Today, like everyday that I get to spend with my kids, I realize how lucky I am. They are so beautiful and just fun people to be around.
In addition, their father is no slouch. Love him.
Today was pretty mellow, nothing ground-breaking to report. I am trying trying trying to get Colin consistently going on the potty. I know that he is ready. He goes, just not consistently.Emma is still throwing up. Always. I am worried about her so much. I mean I know she is OK because she is gaining weight and hardly cries when she throws up...but still.I tried adjusting my diet, soy formula, baby food, enfamil AR...still throws up. Even when she was on acid reflux medicine, she still spit up. Then, we though she might be eating too much but I don't know, that seems a little wacky; but I stopped her sooner: still throwing up. Anyone have experience with this??Anyway, time to sign off. I am so tired. Looking forward to seeing Sherida, Gage and Torrey tomorrow!! Yay!! I will leave you with Miss Emma...

Thanks to Seneca Falls Egans for watching mi perro. Gracias.

All Fun and All Play

Hi Everyone! We have been having a great trip thus far in San Diego. We always have a blast here but by far the best is spending time with family...(bear with me on the phone photos)
Sadie and Emma finally getting to meet one another for the first time! Now, Emma is trying her best to copy many of 9 month old Sadie's moves...this includes climbing on things and standing...umm, yes, Emma is still a little wobbly. Wait your turn Emma, PLEASE. :)

Uncle George we missed you so much!!!
We went to the Wild Animal Park yesterday which is always fun (especially if you are in the mood for a long walk). This visit, we took the Safari Ride and saw Wildebeasts and Endangered Rhinos among others...the best was seeing the 2 week old cheetah. Very cute.

The other day we went to the beach...always a lot of fun...

Through all the fun, we really missed Daddy. We know he is doing well and keeping busy but we miss him all the same. Nothing beats being with Daddy!!
Also, we miss our NY family and friends...especially Todd, Heidi and Family, Lisa, Marlon, James and Lizzy. We just do not miss that cold weather. :)
Ok well time to wind down for the night but wanted to stop in and let you all know we are doing great, we love you and miss you!!! Wish you all were here!! xoxox

The Fate Is Sealed

Chris sent me an e-mail all about his indefinite enlistment in the Army and I am happy for him. How can I NOT support him? He is my BFF. Nothing is cooler than this...
Oh, and he was the one that sent me the David Hasselhoff photo. Ultra Cool Husband.

Today was great. I am not able to download photos just yet from my camera for today, so the visual can take you where it shall...it was me, My kiddos, Matt, Sarah, Sadie and Humma at the pier for lunch. We watched a pelican nip at a guy on our walk, followed by a pelican swallowing a fish whole. I don't know, interesting for those of us trapped in a house for a couple of months in the brutal cold. The beach was super fun. Colin fell in the water which was pretty crazy but Uncle Matt (insert humming to A-Team theme song) ran to save the little man. No trauma.
Smiles all around.
Tomorrow, it is all about the Wild Animal Park and dinner with more Egans and a few Ynestas thrown in for fun...Love it.
Until then...xoxo

This was taken last June but you know, this is exactly the vibe from our arrival today. Oh, how we missed San Diego...
Nothing is better than seeing those you love after missing them terribly. Our family knows this better than anyone.
Getting to the airport was made possible by the most amazing neighbor in the world, Miss Lisa Woolner. She is stellar and nothing short of amazing! Thank YOU!
So the flight getting here yesterday wasn't as bad as it could have been. In fact, for as long a flight as it was, everything went pretty darn smooth. I am so grateful to those that we ran into in either in the airport or on the airplane who just made the trip a sane one. The saddest moment was when we arrived in Chicago and Colin was sure we were going to see Daddy...he started running...then when I said 'wait Colin, not until a few more months, but we will see Gage soon and Torrey and everyone else', he just slowed down...poor guy. There were a lot of guys in uniform there so that was hard...we miss you Chris, like a freakin ton!!
One of the more hysterical moments was when Colin decided he wanted to try and use the potty on the airplane. There was no way I was going to discourage him wanting to use the potty! So we went, and his little bummers fell right into the toilet. Instant Blue Bummers. We joked that he looked like the monkey at the Syracuse zoo (similar to the one on Lion King). The bad part was that we couldn't clean it until we got off the flight (it was the first flight to Chicago so a short flight). The cutest and sweetest things were Colin being so awesome at sharing with Emma on the plane. They watched a show briefly together and he shared his favorite truck with her. He even shared his water with her! He is such a wonderful big brother to her.
Once we got to San Diego, Sherida, Gage and Princess Torrey were there to pick us up. What an awesome realization to see in person how big the kids have gotten, namely, Gage. Wowza. Then, we drove up here to Humma and Papa's house and got to see Sarah and finally meet Baby Sadie! Sadie is full of personality and really a cutie. She is a total red-head which I wasn't prepared for since Matt nor Sarah are red-heads. Cute. So, there is Emma trying to keep up with Miss Sadie...so Emma is now crawling with a lot more ferocity and even attempting to pull herself up on me...she only gets about half way but the attempt is a sobering thought...
Well, before I close this post, I want to say it is seriously like 16 degrees in NY and I just can't imagine it right now. I am so tired of colds and being stuck indoors all winter!! I need sunshine to function. Period.
My poor mom is very sick so I am sad for that. Mom, I hope you feel better, I will be thinking of you...
Matt will be here soon and we will be heading to the beach and then to the Pier. Love it!! Ruby's is the best!
In Chris news: He re-enlisted for 'indefinite' and I am so proud of him. This was a big decision but I am sure an easy one. He loves his work. We miss him.
Ok, I will post some more soon...love you guys...xoxox

We're leaving on a jet plane...

Hey gang,
So yay, we are leaving tomorrow morning early early early for our trip to San Diego. I miss it there a lot, especially with the weather we have been having here.
So here I go again, two kids in tow on a long airplane flight...you will have to check in to see how it went...I will definitely post an update most likely tomorrow...

Emma is doing great. She is a hater of having a poopy diaper, unlike Colin who hides when he has one. Emma was making the funniest noises with her mouth at dinner yesterday. Colin was in tears. I took a picture...

What'chu talkin about Willis??

Anyway, so DaX is with Todd, Heidi and the gang for the next three weeks. We are grateful that they are doing this for us! We will miss our Thursday visits while we are gone.
Anyway, I better get Colin to bed, love to all of you...I miss you Mr Egan.
PS- Emma is crawling everywhere now.

Dancy Dancy Song

If you know the Egans, then you know just about every Egan loves them some music. Our brood is no exception...
We love to dance...this is one of our favorites...
